Hard to believe looking at the glorious morning today but we have an orange weather alert for tomorrow from around 6pm. Heavy rain and thunders storms are expected for the next few days. So make the most of the good weather today as you may be stuck indoors for the next few days, at least we can catch up on those box sets
What is happening with the weather.
Our son, daughter-in-law and 21 month old granddaughter are coming out later today for ten days. Gutted!
We have visitors from tomorrow too and it's not looking good for them but we'll see it may not be as bad as they forecast
Do I vaguely remember you posting a picture of your granddaughter when see was new born if so I can't believe it's that long ago
Yes, she will be two at the end of November. Amazing how quickly the time goes.
For myself, I don't worry about the weather, when it's someone's holiday though, it's so much worse.
The weather alert has now been raised from orange to red warning Thursday and Friday which will mean very strong winds and plenty of rain
Well if that's it for tonight that wasn't too bad . The sun's come out again
Put it this way I wouldn't want to be on a boat today
Hope everyone is staying dry with all this rain . There has certainly been a lot of water coming from the skies with still more to come. Hers a couple of pics, the first two from santa Pola and the second from orihuela which seems to have been hit particularly bad.
It's hardly stopped overnight, and really heavy, it's the worst we've had in all the years we've been here....and it's still going strong!
It's just stopped here but don't know how long for . That's got to be the worst I have seen
Just stopped here too, but it's forecast to keep on until 4 or 5 tomorrow morning!
Yes the skies still look very heavy so there's more to come
According to the leader online it is the worst to hit the general area for over a century!
Looks like we had it Fairly bad around this area, Antena 3 news are saying it is the worst Gota Fria ever in the Alicante area.
Been shopping this morning in my dinghi, pretty bad down at Cabo Roig and Zenia. Needed waders and water wings to put me lottery on. 3 banks shut, and turned up at the dentist this morning, no sign of her, and shutters down. Have to go back on Monday to rebook an appointment again. Most probably waterlogged where she lives. Looks like much of the same tonight judging by the forecast.
Have a look at the weather for next Friday!

Well, it's been fine here so far today. We've been out for coffee, the granddaughter has been in both pools - one fully clothed - and we've been out for lunch. It's darkening up a bit again now, but at least we've made a day of it.
Hope everyone else is okay too.
