Okay, I've got a double review for you, stand by your beds:
6 Underground - a cross between Transformers and Dead Pool - an okay film, some phenomenal film work. Ryan Reynolds (Mr Cheesey) is okay in it. 8/10.
The Game - starring Micheal Douglas and Sean Penn - great film, definitely not your usual type of film. Worth a watch. 8/10.
John Wick 3 starring Keanu Reeves, have any members here seen it? With people getting killed every few minutes, with very, very gory details, swords going into peoples heads, knives into peoples eyes!! and they rate it at a 15 ?!?! How on earth do they work that one out?? 2/10.
The Kid That Would Be King
Modern, ’British’ take on the Arthurian Legend. Well shot with decent CGI. Longest neck in the world in action!
Fighting with my Family
A biopic of WWE star, Paige. Family feel good film but with a few grown up references to watch out for. Enjoyable and touching in parts.
Is anybody interested in decent/challenging TV? Is it worth a new thread?
Yeah, try it in a new thread, some ideas have worked here, some haven't, but we won't know until we try.
Fully agree, what a load of s**t I think you have been quite generous rating the "film" 2/10.
Once upon a time in Hollywood, starring some big names: Brad Pitt, Leo di Caprio, Kurt Russell. Directed by the infamous Quentin Tarantino. Great film, good story, intertwined with the Manson murders / Sharon Tate. Some phenomenal acting. 8/10.
A couple of oldies which I have only recently got round to watching
Walk the Line (2005)
Things we lost in the fire (2007)
Would give both 8/10 - thought the performances of the 2 lead stars in both films very good.
I do that some times, watch a film from quite a time ago, Walk the line is a brilliant film and just goes to show how brilliant Joaquin Phoenix is - as the latest Joker film only goes to prove.
Walk the line - 8/10
Joker (starring Joaquin Phoenix) 9/10
I did get a real oldie film out last night though - Basic Instinct with Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone - great film, with good twists and turns (in the plot, not the bodies! ) - 8/10
Thanks Sharon, I've now put that on my list to watch.
Over the last few days have seen a few films:
The Gentlemen, starring Hugh Grant directed by Guy Ritchie, quite a poor story, mainly based on violence. For anyone wanting another Lock stock, or Snatch, you'll be disapointed. 7/10.
The Fighter, starring (look at me) Mark Wahlberg, quite poor film really, Christian Bale was good in it though. 7/10.
Running with the Devil, starring Nicolas Cage - he was phenomenal in Face off, but very poor in this! 6/10.
What's the latest films you've seen?
I haven't watched a movie in ages, but I might give this one a go.
You'll be pleased you did Caz. Please let us know what you thought of it.
